Description

Experience the healing properties of the Calendula flower infused in skin-nourishing organic oils formulated specifically for sensitive, rosacea-prone skin.

I spent the last 2 summers tending to my beautiful Calendula garden, always in awe of their resilient and uplifting nature. The harvests were so bountiful that I couldn't wait to get into the kitchen and experiment with making handmade potions.

After seeing firsthand the healing qualities of Calendula on my sensitive, rosacea-prone-skin (and my friends who kept coming back for more!), I decided to create a limited edition Glow Box honoring this generous plant ally: Calendula officionalis.

What's in the Glow Box:

1x 30ml Calendula Balm

1x 50ml Calm Skin Healing Calendula Oil

1x 30ml Calendula, Rose & Citrine Flower Essence

1x 30g Glowing Skin Nourishing & Cleansing Tea

You may buy the products individually or save $50 when you purchase the box.

Calendula is the star of this box: she's a potent rejuvenating plant, with antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. Calendula is a wound healer that helps repair cuts, breakouts, or inflamed skin.

*Use your products within 6 months for optimum plant potency.

How To Use

HOW TO USE THE BALM:
As a makeup remover: put a little more than a pea-sized amount in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together — inhale the blissful aroma — and apply to a DRY face. Rinse with a warm cloth. Repeat if necessary.

As a balm day or night: put a pea-sized amount in your hand, rub your hands together — inhale the blissful aroma — and apply to a dry face or after spritzing your favorite hydrosol.

As a body butter: slather on this luxurious balm after a shower/bath and feel the blessings of Calendula on your body. You can, of course, use it on dry hands or feet.

HOW TO USE THE OIL:
Morning or night: add 5 to 6 drops in the palm of your hand, press your hands together — inhale the blissful aroma — and apply to a dry face or after spritzing your favorite hydrosol by pressing the oil gently onto your skin. Breathe deeply.

Apply your face cream or sunscreen over the oil if you'd like.

On a wound or cut: clean it first then apply a few drops to speed healing.

HOW TO USE THE ESSENCE:
Put 5 drops under the tongue 5x a day. You can also add it to water, teas, coffee, or directly on your skin. Flower essences work energetically (emotional, physical, and mental bodies).

HOW TO MAKE A NOURISHING TEA
1 heaping tsp in a strainer, pour hot (not boiling) filtered water over it. Steep for 5 minutes or longer Never use unfiltered tap water, the water must be pure.

About the botanicals in this blend

Benefits of Calendula officionalis:

Calendula, a really good friend of mine, is known for its anti-inflammatory properties thanks to its powerful flavonoids. These plant-based antioxidants protect cells from free radical damage and pro-inflammatory compounds like C-reactive protein and cytokines.

Calendula tea is commonly used to help remedy peptic ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). It supports the healing of gastric and intestinal inflammation from infection or irritation through its vulnerary (wound healing), anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial actions

If you are currently struggling with a skin “issue”, you cannot ignore the gut / skin connection. Healing your gut is crucial to healing your skin and our friend Calendula is a dear ally on this journey.

I chose to infuse Calendula flowers in these particular carrier oils (as opposed to olive oil which is what you usually find on the market) to maximize the healing properties of the Calendula Balm, specifically for sensitive- rosacea-prone skin.

Calendula's benefit when apply on the skin: Besides being a potent rejuvenating plant, Calendula officionalis has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. Calendula is a wound healer that helps repair cuts, breakouts, or inflamed skin.

Calendula flowers contain five powerful healing compounds: Oleanic Acid, Lupeol, Quercetin, α Amyrin, and β Amyrin. These compounds have been shown to provide antioxidant protection, soothe inflamed skin, and reduce itchiness.

The Calendula Balm also contains PURE Rose and Helichrysum italycum essential oils; both contain powerful healing properties for the skin and also the emotional body.

Benefits of Nettle (Urtica dioica):

Known as an overall nourisher and strengthener, stinging nettle leaf (Urtica dioica) is full of vitamins and minerals most notably magnesium, calcium, iron, and protein that can be easily assimilated. (Wood, 1997 & Weed, 1989)
